I created a location survey, taking measurements around the room however I realised that this was not as accurate as it could be as the measurements didn't add up on both sides. Therefore I re-visited this to make sure all measurements were as accurate as possible.
Most measurements were fairly easy to collect when working in pairs however the ceiling and high wall measurements were difficult as they were out of reach and therefore we tried to make them as accurate as possible.
The above location survey was not to scale and not entirely accurate and therefore I re-measured and created a new location survey plan as seen below.
Things to consider when conducting a location survey:
Storage
Load bearing
fixings/wall fixtures
Fire extinguisher
Permanent fixtures
Fire exits
entrance/exits
Access lift
Power
Windows
Lighting switches
Camera crew movement
Task 1: Taking photos of the space
I took photos from different angles to highlight wall fixtures and safety features such as entrances and exits as well as fire exits and extinguishers as well as the room layout. I took photos of each of the walls to use as reference when drawing up the plan. From this I am going to create a concept drawing of the space.
