To get to grips with an understanding of scale, we created mini versions of ourselves in the scale of 1;50 and 1;20. To begin with I struggled with understanding the process of shrinking down objects using the ruler however after a bit of practice and determination, I was able to complete mine scale versions of me.
We first made a small hand drawn to scale version of our self and added colour to make it stand out when in the studio design and then cut this out, adding a back to make it appear 3D. We then followed this process using photoshop to make a 1;50 version which was significantly smaller.
We then went on to create a box for our studio models to go into and then placed our models inside to get an understanding of scale and visualising the space more. The models looked tiny in comparison to the vast space in the studio.
