This was my individual channel content design for our group Production I was inspired by the thrifting lifestyle and upcycling clothes to make them look stylish and wearable even if they are second hand; not only bettering the environment but also encouraging the younger generation to recycle and reuse clothes.
I was really inspired by a TV show I used to watch when I was younger called The Dengeneers where two celebrity presenters would design dens for children. They would use a van as their design base referred to throughout the program which inspired me for my own TV show.
I then carried out research into sustainability and therefore the importance of my TV program.
I then looked into different van sizes to see which would best fit my set accurately.
This was my first visual, however, after feedback, I was advised to redesign the presenters area in better keeping with the concept of my idea. Therefore I decided to redesign my set with a walk-in wardrobe linking back to the overall fashion theme. The Tv will be placed within the mirror on the dressing table where the initial documentary on the importance of sustainable shopping will be shown.
I then created a Vectorworks floor plan to make sure my design would be able to fit within the space provided.
I also wanted to start designing the map used in our channels app to locate different thrift shops in local areas. However, next time after feedback I would make sure the different symbols as the key were more representative of our Orange Peel group aesthetic.
For the logo, I wanted to make it look as though the letters had been made out of re-used scrap material again linking to the concept of sustainability and fast fashion.
